Cops Id Man Accused of Robbing Cash — and a Salad Wrap

BRIDGETON — One of the victims of a triple shooting in Bridgeton has died from his injuries.

Eric Blocker, 25, of Millville died Thursday morning from his injuries. Blocker was one of three people who was shot Wednesday night near the area of area of Morton Street and North Pearl Street around 10 p.m. Wednesday night. Blocker was shot in the torso and arms while inside of a 2016 Nissan Maxima. In one of his last Facebook posts at 5:54 a.m. Wednesday, Blocker stated “Happy 25th birthday to me. Glad to see it alot of mfers don’t get to see this age and I’m blessed to be one that did!”

A 24-year-old woman from Spruce Street in Bridgeton remains in stable condition at Cooper Hospital after she was shot in the back behind the Maxima. Another woman, a 22-year-old, was shot in the leg. She was eventually released from the hospital.

Bridgeton Police Chief Michael Gaimari stated that the shooting does not appear to be a random incident and that the Bridgeton Police Department have been joined by the Cumberland County Prosecutor’s Office with the shooting investigation.

Police are looking for at least two people who were seen running from the scene on Morton Avenue. Officials believe they have identified one of the suspects who police are currently trying to locate.
